Phone-Free Privacy Policy
Phone-Free is developed and operated by Shanghai Qiming Wujie Technology Co., Ltd. This policy explains how the app handles information.
1. Privacy by design
Phone-Free requires no account or sign-in and contains no advertising, tracking, analytics SDK, third-party sharing SDK, or backend service. Challenge data remains on your device.
2. On-device data
- Motion sensor data: During an active challenge, Apple Core Motion is used on the device to detect whether the phone has been picked up or moved. Raw motion samples are not stored or transmitted, and processing stops when the challenge ends.
- Challenge records and preferences: Results, dates, streaks, selected durations, and activities are stored locally to show history and restore preferences.
3. Permission
Motion & Fitness: Used only during a challenge for on-device motion detection. Strict challenges may not work if access is denied.
4. Sharing
When you choose to share a result, Phone-Free creates an image on your device and passes it to the standard iOS share sheet. You choose the receiving app or service. Phone-Free does not publish or upload anything in the background.
5. Control and deletion
Challenge records and preferences are stored only on your device. Uninstalling Phone-Free removes its local data. Because there is no account or backend database, we have no server-side personal data to access or delete.
6. Children's privacy
Phone-Free is not designed to collect children's personal information and does not intentionally collect personal information from any user.
7. Changes
If the app's features or data practices change, this policy will be updated and notice will be provided where appropriate.
